Hui Li (李辉)
Theoretical and Computational Astrophysicist at Tsinghua University
I am an associate professor at the Department of Astronomy, Tsinghua University. Currently, I'm leading the TANGO (Theoretical And Numerical Galaxy fOrmation) group. I was Hubble fellow at Columbia University, collaborating with Prof. Greg Bryan. Before joining Columbia, I was a postdoc at the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research working with Prof. Mark Vogelsberger. My current research interests include galaxy formation, evolution of giant molecular clouds and formation of most massive star clusters, origin of globular clusters in different types of galaxies, stellar dynamics of globular clusters, cosmic ray acceleration and propagation around supernova remnants and pulsars, astrophysical origins of γ-rays in the Galaxy, etc. See my research in details.
I received my Ph.D. degree in the Astronomy Department, University of Michigan in Dec. 2017, supervised by Prof. Oleg Y. Gnedin. Before coming to the US, I got my Master and Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University, which provides the most prestigious astronomical program in China.
